  • 1st and 6th year block - Amaryllis

The Amaryllis block is well known for its most well-preserved architecture, as well as the fact that it is the block which symbolizes the beginning and the end of the student’s life in the Convent. It houses the First and Sixth year brackets. This block often invokes nostalgia amongst the older students, particularly the sixth-years, who once again end up returning after a five-year absence from its grounds.

  • 2nd and 5th year block - Helianthus

The Helianthus block symbolizes Change, and is the most restored/ modern of all three blocks, having lost most of its original architecture to weathering. It houses students of the Second and Fifth year brackets. As a side effect, it is fairly new as well, and seldom has room/building related troubles, IE Leaking roofs, certain disused rooms, etc.

  • 3rd and 4th year block - Zephyranthes

The Zephyranthes block is the middle-ground, and coincidentally the one where students spend the longest time in. It houses the Third and Fourth year brackets, making it the only consecutive-year dormitory. It symbolizes Continuity, and it is usually in these years that students forge lasting friendships which last even till after graduation.

  • The Mayflower Commons

Commonly known to most as the Dining Hall, it is, as its name suggests, the shared dining hall for all three dormitories, linked via the common lobby that all three blocks share. It is located near the Mayflower Lounge, and hosts both the kitchen and dining areas. The Mayflower Commons do not prepare lunch, as most students prefer to dine at the St. Lorraine's cafeteria instead. Doubles as a study area when not preparing meals.

The Silver Ladle operates here as well, helping the Sisters concoct various meals for breakfast and dinner.

  • The Mayflower Lounge

Occupying the other half of the Commons lobby is the Mayflower Lounge, complete with painted folding screens and comfortable sofas. Students usually engage in various activities of relaxation here, from board games to drawing, although several students are known to study effectively while lounging about on a long couch as well. Sunlight streams in from the numerous windows lining the walls, giving the Lounge and overall peaceful atmosphere.

The Barista de Lorraine also operates here from a small counter/bar, mixing various types of drink - hot and cold, mainly of the coffee and tea variant(s). The beverages are of reasonable price, although quality mainly fluctuates with the Barista-in-charge for the day. Students are encouraged to return the cups and saucers after use.

  • Kirschwasser Lavendel

Located a short distance away from the Rainflower dormitories is the Kirschwasser Lavendel communal bathhouse, often referred to as the Lavendel for convenience's sake. Tapping water from a natural geothermal spring, which was conveniently all that remained of the now-extinct Mt. Lilium, the Bathhouse is open-air, featuring a bamboo fencing and a small lodge for changing. Many students end up relaxing here late into the night, and some devotees can still be found in its waters in early hours of the morning, or way beyond midnight, risking punishment to get a good soak.

The Maiden's Etiquette helps out with towels and laundry on a daily basis, and its members are usually allowed to stay later than usual to enjoy the health benefits of the spring's waters.

  • Iridescia Water Gardens

The Iridescia Water Gardens, so named for a certain kind of Iris that grows amongst its hydroponic pond beds. Certain kinds of lettuce and assorted ornamental flowers are grown here, with the former occasionally harvested for consumption. Relatively small, the Water Gardens are a strictly private locale - off limits to the student population and only accessible by the Pleiades Sisters, or members of The Maiden's Etiquette; the voluntary Dormitory "Room-Service Club", which makes its headquarters in said Gardens (If one would call a few tables and a storehouse their Headquarters).

In addition to their random cleaning routines, the Maidens take care of the Garden's plants and general environment. Contrary to common belief there are no fish in the Water Gardens, although a certain pool plays host to a family of Crayfish. Their presence remains a mystery to this day...

  • Library

Once the Scriptorium of the Pleiades Order, this remarkable building now serves as the St. Lorraine Student body's main library, with all sorts of literary works (and leftover scripts from the old days) organized neatly amongst the ocean of shelves in its halls. Remnants of the Abbey's old architecture is plainly seen in the form of self-feeding oil lamps, sundials, water clocks; and of course, scribe tables of yore, a few with preserved Inkwells, penknives, and quills still in place. Most monastic scripts have since been shifted to the Library Storeroom, and only those of the least importance are available for public viewing, many of these ancient artefacts written by hand.

The Wandering Scribe bases its operations here: Being the sole Literary student club in the Convent, they are also responsible for management of the Library's book rental system, and maintaining the cleanliness (and sometimes, architectural integrity) of the grounds.

  • Lakeside Arthouse

Hosts the St. Lorraine art club, aptly named The Convent's Easel. An old, but well-preserved building, it carries an air of rustic charm. It overlooks Lake Lilium, and the more artistically-inclined students often hang their pieces around the dormitories. For some reason, most of said pieces are of Sunsets against the lake's waters, although some anatomical (if not almost scientific) cross-section drawings of the lake's marine life has ended up on some discreet walkways lately...

  • The Long Arch

Hosts the Long Arch, St. Lorraine's local archery range. Inspired by oriental tastes and design, it was built recently (being only a few decades old), somewhat deeper into the Lakeside forests. Linked to the outside via a footpath decorated with stone lanterns, members are trained in the art of "Kyūdō", literally meaning "Way of the Bow". Revolving around the idea of proper meditation, moral/spiritual development and aesthetics, students belonging to the Long Arch are generally more composed than most, although the club's maintenance routines are remarkably thorough, and as a result, tiring.

Members are taught and trained by a certain resident Sister, hailing from the distant coasts of Japan. Wood and materials required for the creation of their first bows are provided, although it is not unusual for Seniors to pass down their bows to Juniors upon graduation.

  • Dilapidated Cottage

A quaint cottage/ lodge past its time, it stands on a tall cliff overlooking Lake Lilium. Its original purposes have been lost to time, and one can only speculate what it was once used for, or who it housed. The Pleiades are currently wondering what to do with it, or in what direction should redevelopment of said building take, but so far no one has come up with an idea...

  • Chapter House

Once used by the Pleiades Order to hold mass and organize meetings, the reasonably-sized Chapter House has since fallen into disuse, primarily due to the dwindling numbers of the Order. Although in reasonable condition, its stained glass murals and ornately carved pillars have become dusty over time, with the footsteps of the occasional Union caretaker echoing through its halls. Perhaps, with some cleaning-up and refurbishing, the old Chapter-House can be used for another express purpose...?

Hosts: Theatre Appreciation Society – Drama and performing Arts club. Organizes weekly skits and monthly plays. Will occasionally perform in the open without warning. [LOCKED]

  • Isolated Clearing

Created by accident when the Long Arch was built, the clearing was a direct result of architectural misinterpretation - too much ground was cleared for the range, and as a result, although it is considered to be within range grounds, nothing but a small shack stands in the clearing, serving as a general material storage for range maintenance. The Pleaides seem to be be interested in developing the plot of land, but for what purpose and calling, no one can be sure quite yet.

Hosts: The Maiden’s Blade – Precision swinging of not-so-sharp, wooden/metal sticks. [LOCKED] / Might be developed into farmland, depending on outcome of proposes storyline(s).

  • Curious Outhouse

Located deep within the forests of the Convent, it was only discovered very recently, when a Long Arch member went exploring into the deeper regions of the forest, in search of a grossly misfired arrow. Standing in a small clearing with a few aged tree stumps, its purpose and origins are more or less unknown, with the Sisters themselves unaware of its existence. Other than an oversized metal cauldron sitting in the middle of the small house, its run-down state provides little information; although discarded glass jars sitting on an equally abandoned shelf seems to suggest that some sort of brewing once occurred at this locale, a long, long time ago.

Hosts: St. Lorraine Atelier – Gardening, herb-picking and simple curative balms processing club. Promotes a healthy lifestyle in sync with nature, and communal gatherings around large, black iron cauldrons. [LOCKED]

  • St. Lorraine Pier & Dock

The Convent's only link to the outside world - Deliveries from beyond the lake arrive every Monday and Thursday. Members of the Maiden's Courier Service are often seen running back and forth on the wooden pier, collecting orders, checking lists, so on and so forth. A variety of boats (Student-made and otherwise) are tethered to the pier, giving it a somewhat Venetian feel. Shipments are often inspected by the dormitories' Sisters before said Couriers dispatch them to their intended recipient.

  • Lilium Beach

Lilium beach is one of the more accessible beaches on the island, and is a fair distance away from the Pier, allowing for some peace and quiet if needed. The rocky lake bottom and crystal clear waters make it good for swimming, although for the most part, fish and other forms of marine life are rare. Apparently introduced into the lake only a short time ago, the marine population has yet to stabilize itself.

Students are encouraged to bring their own umbrellas and sheets. Alternatively, the Boating Angler's Adventure Club might have some to spare, assuming one is forgetful enough.

  • Lake Lilium

Lake Lilium, the crater lake surrounding the entire island that the abbey is on, is a naturally clear lake, thanks to its rocky bottom. Livestock of fish have been introduced some time ago, but as of now, the fish population is still small, hence allowing most students to swim or simply float about undisturbed. Student-made boats are often seen cruising on its surface, and some particularly ambitious students from the Angler’s Club have made a miniature paddle-boat, although it does not work very well and capsizes often.

The lake has a deeper southern end, and hence said area is generally more supportive of aquatic life. Due to the lake’s clarity and generally peaceful atmosphere, many a student will simply boat out and remain adrift for the majority of the day if given a chance, and it is said that some friendships were forged by having two boats lock into each other and drift out into the sun whilst their owners were asleep. Students who show no proficiency in swimming are not allowed to set themselves adrift, but may be allowed to do so if accompanied by a friend, and a life-buoy.

  • Lake Lilium Boating House

Hosts the Boating Angler's Adventure Club. The boathouse doubles as both a storage and workshop, allowing for its members to build simple wooden rafts/boats in its grounds. Fishing rods and other assorted angler/swimming gear are stored here.
